Everyone who plans to attend PLoP'99 has to register. This includes authors, non-authors, students, staff, and conference organizers. We strongly encourage early registration.
The fee for PLoP'99 is $750 US. (Click here for current exchange rates.) The fee for full-time students is $350 US.

| This year we'll also accept registrations without room at the Allerton House. Attendees registering this way will have to find their own accommodation and transportation. The Best Western motel in Monticello is probably the closest place for lodging; their standard rate for August is $48 and up. Check also the Champaign-Urbana Hotel Information for more options.
In this case the fee ($650 US or $250 US for
full-time students) includes everything from above except

Attendees should plan to arrive on Sunday August 15th, and depart on Wednesday August 18th. The traditional Papa Dell's Pizza arrival reception will be held Sunday evening. The technical program begins Monday morning. The program will run until 15:00 on Wednesday.
Unless you're a staff member, we require that you guarantee your registration by credit card--we accept American Express, Visa and Mastercard. However, we will charge the cancellation fee to this card only if you register but don't attend the conference. Once you arrive at PLoP'99, you will have to pay the registration fee. You may elect to pay with the same card you used to guarantee your registration. You can also pay by check. The check should be made to:

We are expecting a healthy turnout this year, and space will be at a premium. For this reason, there will be a $75 US charge for registration cancellations received after August 1st 1999.
