Focus Group 2 - Workshop Leading

Description: The first decade of writers' workshops used a relatively passive form of workshop leadership to enable workshops to spring up everywhere. For the past couple of years, we've been experimenting with how to do more in-depth workshop leading. This focus group will coalesce what has been learned and propose a curriculum / qualifications / process for becoming an expert workshop leader. The group will brainstorm and run / observe / workshop one workshop each day as a basis for the discussions.

Participants should be experienced workshop leaders with at least 5 workshops led. Prospective participants should submit a 1 or 2 paragraph statement of philosophy on workshop leading. The session will result in a proposal for a certification program for workshop leaders.
